Internet woke up to an amusing news of one of the biggest collaborations in B-town. Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt have been roped in for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next ambitious film named Inshallah. The first instance of the netizens was to rejoice and welcome this announcement which is sort of a big deal for all the movie-lovers. However, soon, Twitterati was worried about this casting despite 'blockbuster' written on it. The reason is, Salman and Alia's age-gap. They flooded the the micro-blogging site with requests of not casting them opposite each other and that they would not buy the fact they are romancing on the silver screen! With Alia Bhatt in SLB's Inshallah, Here Goes Another Chance to See Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone Together in a Film!.
First things first, it is too early to speculate who is playing what character in this Bhansali led project. Hence, criticizing the idea of watching Bhai and Alia together in a film is kind of lame. Having said that, Twitterati has a sharp memory and does not easily forget and forgive things! Over these years, the norm of an older hero (much older) romancing a younger heroine has grown on the industry. Watching them romance and shake leg with each other with no script technically supporting that gap has become a norm.
However, there have been a few instances where the age gap aspect has not mattered just like the pair of Amitabh Bachchan-Tabu in Cheeni Kum or Shah Rukh Khan-Alia Bhatt in Dear Zindagi. But then, there was a strong backing to these stories and their weirdly beautiful bonding. When it comes to SLB's film, fans are expecting something similar from the makers. Check out the tweets.
Alia Bhatt's Tweet
I was 9 when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait.

As we said, the project is in the initial stage and it is too soon to decide on our own the future of the film. On a positive note, Bhansali has decided to experiment with a totally new cast for his love-story (with no DeepVeer in it) and we're relieved. Tell us your take on the same in the comments section below.
