There have been so many Bollywood pairings that just could not be. We have not seen Salman Khan and Juhi Chawla on the big screen together. And the 2-minutes appearance in Deewana Mastana doesn't count. Similarly, fans have not seen Salman and Deepika Padukone on the screen together, but for some bright reason, no director has had the bright idea to cast them in a film. No, seriously. Salman has made the big revelation himself. The actor was talking to DNA, when he was asked about never having worked with Deepika. He said, "No one has come forward to cast me with her.” Salman Khan Sets the Record Straight! Will Work with Jacqueline Fernandez in Kick 2 and Katrina Kaif in Tiger Zinda Hai Sequel.

The revelation goes against several reports in the past that have suggested that Deepika was offered to work with Salman in movies like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Kick song Yar Na Miley, Tubelight and Sultan. Well, the actor didn't stop there. He also told what it would take for them to star together in a movie. And in a way, he paid a huge compliment to Deepika. He said, "Deepika is a big star, so it has to be worth her while to do a film with me. Right now, there is nothing.”

So, there were murmurs that Sanjay Leela Bhansali might rope in Deepika to play a role in his next with Salman. But with the announcement of Alia Bhatt as the lead heroine, that dream of fans also broke. Never say never, though.

On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of his next film, Bharat. The actor will soon start shooting for Dabangg 3. His movie with Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been titled Inshallah and will go on floors soon. Deepika has picked up one of the most daring projects in Bollywood ever. The actress will be seen playing the role of an acid attack survivor in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak. The movie will hit the screens in January 2020, making it a two-year gap for the actress since Padmaavat came out.
