Salman Khan is once again under the scanner of media and fans. The long pending infamous Blackbuck Case of 1998 will ultimately get the final verdict on Thursday. Salman Khan was accused of killing two black bucks in Jodhpur during the shoot of 1997 Sooraj Barjatiya film Hum Saath Saath Hai. As the superstar bhai reached Jodhpur along with the co- accused co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre, the fans are longingly waiting to see whether the the actors will win the case. But here's a thing! Did you know that Salman Khan has already been jailed twice for poaching case?
There are three poaching cases registered against Salman Khan including, Arms Act case 1998, Blackbuck poaching case 1998, 2 Chinkara poaching cases in 1998. In these three poaching cases registered against him, Salman has twice served time in the Jodhpur jail - in April 2006 and in August 2007.
As of now, Khan is facing charges under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the other actors have been charged under Section 51 read with Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code. Maximum punishment under Section 51 is six years.
Talking about the current alleged Blackbuck incident, Public Prosecutor Bhawani Singh Bhati had earlier said. "All of them were in a Gypsy car that night, with Salman Khan in the driving seat. He, on spotting a herd of black bucks, shot at and killed two of them. But on being spotted and chased, they fled from the spot leaving the dead animals there."
Salman Khan will be next seen in Race 3 and Bharat. His acquittal is much awaited for his fans to relish his next action movies. However, only the court gets to decide their fate! Stay tuned for more updates on the case.
