It has to be said that Race 3 promos and songs are not exactly the strongest material Salman Khan has to offer, compared to his past ventures. While not many liked the fact that the franchise replaced Saif Ali Khan as the lead with Salman Khan, we are of the opinion that with Salman's presence, the series just got bigger. Bigger it did get, in amoung of its sheer absurdity of stunts and the trolling that followed.
Be it the trailer or the recent song, Selfish, for which Salman Khan had turned lyricist for, the movie has been getting quite the flak. But Salman Khan seems unperturbed. In fact, he hardly considers them as criticism. During a press launch of Dus Ka Dum, Salman Khan was asked about the trolling of the movie by a reporter.
As per a report in Indian Express, Salman Khan was visibly annoyed by this questions and he asked the journo, "Are you trolling it? Are you trolling it?" The journo replied that a lot of people are trolling it. To which Salman had this to say, "Those guys with one or two followers? That’s trolling? Who’s controlling that trolling, you know? No? How sad. When guys with one, two, three, four followers troll, it isn’t trolling." Make sense of that!
Perhaps Salman Khan should really check out and see how many people are dissing his new movie, and that included popular websites too. Why, even the Twitter handle of Mumbai Police trolled the dialogue of the movie. But then Salman Khan never cared for criticism, and his movies have mostly been critic-proof. So yeah, haters gonna hate, but when it comes to box office, Sallu movies have the same fate - minimum Rs 100 crore business!
Race 3 is directed by Remo D'Souza and also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem. The movie is scheduled to release on June 15.
