Salman Khan Goes Missing from Bajrangi Bhaijaan's Chinese Premiere; Director Kabir Khan and Harshaali Malhotra attend
Now we have to see if Salman Khan can follow Aamir Khan's footsteps and make a grand success out of Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China.
Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan was one of the biggest hits of this decade, and is touted as his best movie of this decade as well. Directed by Kabir Khan, the movie also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child star Harshaali Malhotra. The movie had came out in 2015 and was Salman Khan's highest grossing movie till the end of last year, when Tiger Zinda Hai broke its records and took the first place.
Now two years later, the movie has got a slot to release in China under the title 'Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle' (don't ask!). The makers had a grand premiere in Beijing, China that was attended by the director Kabir Khan and Harshaali Malhotra. However, the lead stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are conspicuous by their absence. Does Bhai's lack of presence has anything to do with the fact that he and Kabir Khan had a tiff thanks to the failure of their last movie, Tubelight.
Anyway, Bajrangi Bhaijaan will open in our neighbouring country this week, opening in 8000+ screens from March 2.
As you are aware, Aamir Khan movie have been going great guns at the Chinese box office, with both his last releases, Dangal and Secret Superstar making record collections there. In fact, Dangal turned out to be Indian cinema's highest grossing movie of all time worldwide all thanks to China.
Now we have to see if Salman Khan can follow Aamir Khan's footsteps and make a grand success out of Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China.
