Salman Khan Convicted: Singer Sona Mohapatra Shows Spine To Question Bhai While Bollywood Stars Suck Up to Him?

We love Sona Mohapatra for two reasons. a) for her unmatched voice transports us to a different realm altogether. b) for (she) being vocal about any social issue without giving a flying duck to anyone. What Sona has done now needs absolute courage of conviction ( read: balls of steely resolve) . Right after Salman Khan got convicted in Black Buck poaching case, the floodgates of sympathy and sentiments opened for Bhaijaan. Some even questioned our honourable judiciary system for holding Salman Khan guilty.
It's a given that Salman Khan is a very powerful man. The superstar is incredibly influential and he wields the willow to spell power. It goes without saying that he is super rich and has a final say on a variety of Bollywood projects. Add to it the fact that Rs 800 crores are at stake as Bhai has been convicted for reportedly killing black buck during the shoot of his 1997 film Hum Saath Saath Hain. Such is the fan base Salman enjoys that the slightest provocation against him leads to a huge hue and cry. Naturally, the big wigs from B-town as indeed the struggles are showing sympathy to bhai at this hour. In that regard what singer Sona Mahapatra has done is quite applause-worthy.
"So...will daddy say sorry on his behalf? What will the suck-ups in the industry do? When's bail? When's the next block buster release? Dabangg 'concert' tour dates? Bigg Boss? Charity drives." she tweeted.
Woh! those are strong words indeed (and quite honest too!) In one go Sona took a dig at Salman Khan's writer father Salim Khan, who almost always comes to his son's rescue with his bhaashan, every time Bhai does some gadbad! She also questioned Salman's giant concerts which can shift the focus from his black buck poaching news to something fanciful, sooner than later. If not anything else, then Salman Khan can always resort to showcasing his goodie boy 'Being human' image with his charitable causes to acquire the much-needed bail!
