Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Saand Ki Aankh, a biographical sports drama, is inspired by the real-life sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law, Prakashi Tomar. Popularly known as 'Shooter Dadis', both Taapsee and Bhumi are set to step in the shoes of these National level shooters. Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, Saand Ki Aankh is all set to release this Diwali, October 25, 2019.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh made the official announcement with a tweet that read "#SaandKiAankh filming complete... All set for #Diwali 2019 release... Stars Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar... Directed by Tushar Hiranandani." Earlier on April 30, the Pink actress took it to Twitter and shared a still from the film featuring her and Bhumi aiming the gun in their respective attire as she wrote "And the curtains drop on this one. One word that will come in my mind when I think of 'Saand Ki Aankh' will be ‘conviction'. Saying goodbye is not my forte... so I walk away after packup leaving a piece of my heart with this ‘family' forever and ever."

Both Taapsee and Bhumi wrapped up shooting for the film a couple of days back as they went on sharing a still from the sets of the film penning some emotional lines. Film-maker Prakash Jha is all set to play the lead antagonist of the film. Saand Ki Aankh also stars Vineet Kumar Singh of the Mukkabaaz fame in a prominent role. Moreover, Tushar Hiranandani marks his directorial debut with Saand Ki Aankh. He has previous writing credentials for Dishoom, Grand Masti and Ek Villain. Bhumi Pednekar was last seen in Abhishek Chaubey's critically acclaimed film Sonchiriyan while Taapsee Pannu was featured in the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla.
