Alia Bhatt has turned down SS Rajamouli's offer to star in RRR
A couple of days back it was reported that south sensation and Baahubali director SS Rajamouli had approached Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra to star in his movie, RRR. The film has been in the news lately for its star cast and with Alia and Parineeti's names being linked to the project, the talks around RRR became even more evident. However, it is now being said that Alia has turned down Rajamouli's offer despite him offering her a huge sum of money. He apparently contacted Alia through Karan Johar hoping that things would work out but the actress has now refused the director. The reason being unavailability of dates. currently there is a lot on Alia's plate with Brahmastra releasing this year and then she will also be starting work on Sadak 2 and Takht. They're two big projects which are definitely going to consume a lot of time so seems like she didn't want to commit to anything else apart from the above mentioned projects. While her take on this is totally justified, we also think that refusing to work on a movie with SS Rajamouli could be a golden opportunity lost for the actress. Considering how big he is in the South and in Bollywood too, it would be Alia's loss to say no to him. Maybe Karan Johar could convince her to do otherwise? Anyway, talking about RRR, the film is being made on a budget of Rs 300 crore and the filmmaker is still on a hunt to look out for his leading ladies. Tollywood actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR have been roped in to play the male leads. Initially the buzz was, the actors would be essaying the role of brothers onscreen. However, that is not really their role. Ram Charan would be playing the role of a police officer, whereas Jr NTR will be seen as a forest brigand. For those who don’t know, this is the first time the two male leads of RRR are coming together for a film.
