Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor are working together for the first time after decades in the upcoming movie, 102 Not Out. The interesting selling point of the movie is its premise - Amitabh Bachchan plays the 102-year-old father to Rishi Kapoor's 70-year old son. And if these two aspects have not caught your intrigue, then perhaps this new development might do that for you.
Rishi Kapoor will be finally making his singing debut with the movie, and he will be joined by his senior co-star Amitabh Bachchan in crooning the number. And the surprises don't end here! The song will be composed by Amitabh Bachchan himself. Titled Badumbaa, the song goes after a favourite catchphrase used by Amitabh Bachchan in many of his tweets.
So how did the idea of the song came about? As per a report in Firstpost, on the last day of the shoot, the makers came up with the idea of having a shoot featuring both Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. Big B agreed to the idea, but put out the condition that he would compose the song himself - which everyone agreed to.
It was then that director Umesh Shukla thought of approaching Rishi Kapoor of singing in the movie. Speaking to the website, Shukla said, "When Rishiji came to the recording studio , he did the first rehearsal and after the first rehearsal itself he was himself surprised to discover his singing talent. We did not have have to do many retakes as his first one time was perfect."
Well, we have one more awesome reason to watch 102 Not Out, when it arrives on May 4. Looking forward to watch the song soon.
