As fans offer their condolences, a particularly popular scene of his from Khatta Meetha has been going viral. The comedic scene features Atul alongside Akshay Kumar and Asrani and is one of the funniest moments in the satirical dramedy directed by Priyadarshan in 2010.

In the scene, Atul Parchure plays the character Chinthan, who approaches his boss, Sethji (played by Asrani), intending to inform him of a tragedy in his family. However, their conversation is repeatedly interrupted by Sethji's phone calls, which become increasingly jumbled. Akshay Kumar's character then enters with his request for loan, adding to the chaos. The scene is a comedic gem, not only due to its clever writing but also because of the impeccable comic timing and chemistry between the three actors.

While Khatta Meetha wasn’t a major box office hit, this particular scene has become iconic. Other iconic comedy scenes featuring Atul Parchure have also resurfaced, such as his frustrated rant in Rohit Shetty’s 2009 hit All The Best, where he played a transport driver, and his repeated takes in the 2009 film Billu, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and was also directed by Priyadarshan. In Billu, Atul played the role of an aspiring actor and lodge owner.

Atul Parchure also appeared in a few episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show. He was part of the 2023 Telugu movie Rules Ranjann, featuring Kiran Abbavaram and Neha Shetty. The actor's last big screen appearance was in the 2024 Marathi film, Alibaba Aani Chalishitale Chor.
