After the roaring success of Simmba, Ranveer Singh is all set for his next release, Gully Boy and is simultaneously prepping for Kabir Khan's '83. The actor recently started his training in the sport and the movie is expected to start rolling with a month-long schedule in London. Ranveer plays an ace cricketer Kapil Dev in the movie, who lead our Indian cricket team for the historic world cup win in 1983. While we have some high hopes pinned on this sports drama which is not exactly a biopic, makers are adamant on achieving a high feat when it comes to this project. Wait, What? Ranveer Singh Auditioned for a Role in Hollywood But Nothing Worked Out.
As per recent reports in DNA, '83 will be a trilingual movie and will be made in Tamil and Telegu besides Hindi. After the humongous success of Baahubali and the recent bein KGF, this move seems valid, smart and sensible enough. A source associated with the film told the leading daily, “Our heroic win in the 1983 World Cup is a historical event in Post-Independence India. Considering that cricket and movies are akin to religion in the country, and are bound to resonate with audiences across ages and strata, the film’s producers have decided to shoot for the Tamil and Telugu versions simultaneously.” Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan Replace Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in Andaaz Apna Apna Remake?

Recently there were reports if Deepika Padukone will play Ranveer Singh's wife in this sports drama. However soon the queries were answered when it was revealed that the actress would never take up this project as the role in question is not exactly a very interesting one. Also, its screen time is very less and DP would never compromise on that. The film is slated to release on April 10 next year and the long wait is definitely going to kill us.
