He is touted as the next Shah Rukh Khan. Ranveer Singh with his infectious energy as indeed with his solid acting chops has impressed one and all. With no godfather to lean on, Singh dude has made it entirely on his own in an industry where the competition is absolutely cut throat. He is the youngest superstar of the generation. He is in the ad commercials. He flashes brightly on hoardings and even graces the covers of the leading fashion glossies. What's more? He even dates Deepika Padukone!!!

Why then the lad with a tremendous fan following (and money following, of course!) travelling in a Mumbai local train? Yes, our secret birdie spotted Ranveer at Mumbai's Churchgate station recently. Singh looked in a hurry as he boarded a local train at the aforementioned station, that too on a Sunday noon! Was he toiling away like a regular Mumbaikar, we wondered!

A closer inspection revealed that Singh was shooting at Churchgate railway station in Mumbai for Zoya Akhtra's forthcoming movie Gully Boys. According to a popular portal, the shoot was purposely held on a Sunday to avoid the crowd.  It was also reported that around 50 junior artists were present as co-passengers on the train along with the crew of the film. It goes without saying that a tight security was maintained for the shoot that commenced in the noon and went on late into the evening!

What happened after the local train journey of Ranveer's was quite interesting. Soon after the shoot got over, Ranveer was promptly whisked away as a swanky car was arranged to escort  him from the station. The lad then continued to travel like he always does--like a prince, that is!
