Ahead of the release of his upcoming film Gully Boy, Ranveer Singh introduces you to the 'original Gully Boys' in a capsule series on social media. The actor, a couple of hours ago, took to the photo-sharing app to post the third episode of the series, titled, Voice of the Streets, featuring an 18-year old fledgling rapper from Dharavi in Mumbai, MC Altaf. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy is an upcoming musical drama, where Ranveer will be seen portraying the role of the Mumbai street rapper. Ranveer's character is inspired by the life of rapper Divine and the actor has prepped hard to step into his character. For the uninitiated, MC Altaf is the one who tutored Ranveer Singh for Gully Boy. Not just that, the rapper has a song in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.

On the professional front, Ranveer is currently riding high on the success of his recently released film Simmba, helmed by Rohit Shetty. The actor also has Kabir Khan’s 83 (Kapil Dev biopic) lined up.
Bankrolled by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, the film also stars Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles. While Alia stars as a medical student and Ranveer’s love interest in Gully Boy, Kalki appears as an influential musician. Gully Boy will release on February 14. Watch this space for further updates.
