Mumbai, January 30: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has sent a handwritten note to Ranveer Singh praising him for his performance in his latest release "Padmaavat."

Calling the letter his "award," an overwhelmed Ranveer took to Twitter to share the picture of the note and a bouquet Bachchan sent him after watching the Sanjay Leela Bhansali period drama. Certainly, this fond of appreciation races ahead when it comes to any award.

"Mujhe mera award mil gaya (I have got my award) @SrBachchan," the actor, who is receiving rave reviews for his portrayal of Sultan Alauddin Khalji in the magnum opus,captioned the tweet.

Ranveer, also received a handwritten note in 2015, after Bachchan had watched "Bajirao Mastani."

The 32-year-old actor has delivered an overwhelmingly impressive performance as Khalji and has garnered huge applauds from his fans and co-actors. The actor was beaming with joy as he shared this moment with his followers on social media. With every film he is coming up with extremely remarkable and unique acts that nonetheless reveals the actor’s passion in the Hindi Cinema.

Featuring Deepika Padukone in the lead, "Padmaavat" also stars Shahid Kapoor, Jim Sarbh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Raza Murad. It has minted over Rs 100 crores in its opening weekend.

The film is going strong at the box office, despite not releasing in some states and acts of vandalism across the country.
