Yes, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have finally got married. They might be one of the two top A-listers of their generation to tie the knot at the height of their stardom and their fans can't help for cheer for the occasion. Ranveer and Deepika met and fell in love while shooting for their first film together, Goliyon Ki Raasleela... Ram Leela. While Ranveer's obsession with Deepika was way too evident, Deepika has been very hush-hush about their romance and had only started publicly talking about it when the marriage crept closer. Whatever the case is, we are quite happy for the couple and fans rooting for the DeepVeer wedding should thank one man who was the reason why it all began - Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Seek Inspiration From Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Their Wedding – Find Out How.

Having said that, we are quite glad that the Padmaavat director didn't director their romance in real life. Okay, this may sound cruel but their reel-romances haven't exactly sought for a happy ending. And SLB is not the only person responsible for this! Ranveer and Deepika have appeared together in four films, three of which was directed by Bhansali. And yet, in none of them, they had a happy ending. Just check them out -

Goliyon Ki Raas Leela....Ram Leela

Even if you have not seen the film, only two points are needed to tell you here that not everything ends hunky dory for Ranveer and Deepika's characters in the film. First of all, it is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has something against happy endings. Secondly, it is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, and though shalt knoweth how that ends!

But then, Ranveer and Deepika fans should be thankful for this film as this is the arena where they developed their romance that ends with a happy wedding in an exotic locale in Italy. Rs 10 Crore! That’s the Whopping Amount Spent on Deepika Padukone – Ranveer Singh Wedding Accommodation.

Finding Fanny

Ranveer Singh had a minuscule role in this quirky comedy, playing a goom who dies on the day he gets married. Guess who plays his bride? Why, yes, Deepika Padukone!

Bajirao Mastani

This time Bhansali brings Deepveer for a tragic real-life romance based on the legend of Maratha general Bajirao and his mistress, Mastani. The movie ends with both the protagonists ending their lives at the same moment, leaving many in the theatres teary-eyed.

Padmaavat

This is the only movie where Deepika's character was never in love with Ranveer's, though the latter's obsession for the former leads to a kingdom getting destroyed and her committing Jauhar. Interestingly, their last film doesn't even have them share a single scene together though that didn't stop Padmaavat from grossing Rs 300 crore at the box office. Some credit should definitely be given to Karni Sena, of course.

However, real life is, thankfully, not directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, so we wish the newly married couple to have a Happy Married Wonderful Life!
