Have to admit that Ranveer Singh is very sporting in taking on such an absurd persona, but the ad feels very childish.

Ranveer Singh's short movies to promote the sauce and noodle brand Chings needs an acquired taste to enjoy. Remember that Mad Max-spoof ad Ranveer Ching Returns that was directed by Ranveer's Simmba director Rohit Shetty and also starred Tamannaah Bhatia? Well, now Ranveer returns to take about his Ching act, this time directed by his Gunday director Ali Abbas Zafar with Karishma Tanna giving him company. The ad was much talked for being set in space and making Ranveer a superhero. Now that it has been revealed, we can say that unlike Ranveer Ching Returns, the cringe is less here. Ranveer Singh to Star in a Superhero Project Set in Space – Watch Teaser Video.

That's because the duration of the ad is much shorter than the Rohit Shetty one. So Ranveer Singh is Captain Ching, a superhero in space, riffed off from Milind Soman's Captain Vyom. So when an asteroid threatens to strike a spaceship piloted by Karishma Tanna's character, she calls out for the help of Captain Ching. Ching arrives and takes a taste out of a Ching sauce bottle and voila! Flames begin to come out of his backside, making him a rocket! I kid you not! Needless to say, the rocketman now hits the asteroid and destroys it!
