It's a pretty usual notion that when a movie premieres at some international film festival, it has what it takes to be a brilliant cinema. Of course, certain movies are intentionally made keeping the film festivals in mind and they fail to strike any chord with the ordinary audiences. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's first collaboration together before Karan Johar's Takht is making headlines for all the right reasons. The movie is based on a rapper who starts his journey from slums but is determined to make it big in the industry. The Raazi actress plays a Muslim girl and even his romantic interest. The film is reportedly based on Mumbai based rappers - Divine and Naezy. As part of the Official Programme, Berlin Film Festival also called as Berlinale, screens recent works by contemporary filmmakers, as well as documentaries and works with extraordinary formats.
