It so happened that The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently dropped a shortlist for the 92nd Academy Awards in nine categories- Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film and Visual Effects. But with a heavy heart, we would like to add that the Zoya Akhtar movie could not find any mention on the list which means Gully Boy is out of Oscars 2020. Movies like Czech Republic's The Painted Bird, Estonia's Truth and Justice, France's Les Misérables and others have made it to the list of the International Feature Film category.
