Kangana Ranaut and Aditya Pancholi's alleged extortion case has taken a new turn. Recently, reports erupted that Mumbai Police filed an FIR under charges of rape against Pancholi. The actor had denied the allegations saying that the case has been 'falsely implicated'. Now, Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel has revealed that she has revived the 2007 case of physical abuse and extortion, which Kangana had filed against Pancholi. In a series of tweets, "Whoever it may concern, complain against Pancholi had been lodged in 2007 for physical abuse harassment and extortion, he has taken more than 1cr from Kangana saying he has fed her for 3 months when she was homeless ( grocery bill of three months )...(contd)." In the next one, she wrote, "(Contd)... but he wanted more money after that, the last message of extortion I myself received from him was in 2016 which has been submitted to cops and now FIR has been lodged, she had absolutely no time for all this...(contd)." On the other hand, Pancholi has refuted all the allegations against him. "I am ready to cooperate with the Mumbai Police. If they will call me for my statement, then I will cooperate. I am ready for investigation. I knew that a case will be registered against me. I am not going anywhere. The police have not approached me after the FIR was registered," Pancholi told ANI over the phone."
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut will be seen in Rajkummar Rao starrer Mental Hai Kya. The film was also in the controversy recently as the psychiatrists and mental health experts claimed that the film's title is belittling to those suffering from mental illnesses. The curly haired actress then confirmed that they will change the title soon.
