It is time to look at box office figures from a different angle. Nowadays Rs 100 crore mark should not be a yardstick anymore. It should only be important when the budget of the film is less and therefore the profit margin is more. Otherwise, for a film budgeted at, say Rs 80 crore, just about makes it to Rs 100 crore mark doesn't make it a superhit. Now 2018 has been a very good year for Bollywood, what with the number of box office successes that it has seen this year. Of course, the biggest hit has been Ranbir Kapoor's Sanju followed by Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor's PadmaavatSanju: Rajkumar Hirani Confesses He Manipulated Sanjay Dutt's Life in The Film and Twitter is NOT Impressed!

This was also a year where a Salman Khan film, Race 3, surprisingly underperformed, though it is a hit. Also, a year where an Alia Bhatt, Rajkummar Rao and Kartik Aaryan films made it to Rs 100 crore mark and make itself the most profitable. So like we said in the opening para, when it comes to calculating profits, the highest grossing movie may not end up being the most profitable. So in this special feature, we look at 15 highest grossing films made in Bollywood, calculate their profit margins based on their budgets (as per estimates) and rank them based on their profit margin, from the highest to the lowest. Stree Box Office Collection: This Horror Comedy is Shraddha Kapoor's Highest Grossing Film Till Date; Check Out Her Other Top 5 Highest Grossers!
