Brahmastra has been one of the most anticipated projects starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. The superhero-fantasy films has been much-talked about mainly for its distinct storyline and while Ranbir and director Ayan Mukerji have been extremely tight-lipped about it, we hear, the details of Ranbir's character in the film have now been revealed. According to the latest reports, Ranbir will be playing the role of a DJ in the film. Apparently, his character runs away from his home, going against his father's wishes to fulfil his dream. It is during his journey of self-discovery that he learns about his superpowers. As per reports, Ranbir's character will have the superpower to unleash fire from his palms. Every character in the film will have certain special powers and we are yet to learn about the characters of Alia and Amitabh Bachchan. . The film is said to have some high octane action sequences. We have known that the film is one of director Ayan Mukerji's most ambitious projects. Ranbir has undergone a lot of training for his role in the film and even learnt martial arts. This is the first time he will be seen sharing screen space with his real-life girlfriend, Alia Bhatt.
At a recent event, Alia mentioned that she begged Ayan to cast her in the film. She said, “The idea for Brahmastra was conceived long back when Ayan (Mukerji, director) had just done Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I wanted to work with him and I have always wanted to work with Ranbir as well. I pleaded to Ayan that please cast me with him.”
