In a bid to cheer their common fans, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone walked the ramp for their dear friend, designer Manish Malhotra for Mijwan 2018. The event is considered as the fashion event with a social cause, promoted by actress-social activist Shabana Azmi. This year's edition is the ninth year of the show that was started by Shabana Azmi's Kaifi Azmi to bring focus on making Mijwan 'a scalable and replicable model of development with a focus on the girl child and women'.

With that in mind, after they walked the ramp, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone made sure that they thanked the women of the country in their speeches. After thanking Shabana Azmi for arranging such an event, Deepika Padukone said,"Thank you to all the women who worked behind the scenes. The strength of the nation is in building all the skills we have whether it is arts whether it is crafts, whether it is sports."

Meanwhile Ranbir delivered a strong statement as he said, "My mom (Neetu Singh who was present at the event) always taught me that a man is as good as the respect he shows a woman. A man is as good as the space he gives to his wife, mother sister, daughter to be whoever she wants to be. And I generally want to be that man." And then he went on to thank Shabana Azmi, Manish Malhotra, Deepika Padukone for making the event such a success.

So what do you think of seeing Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together again? Should they do a movie soon? Perhaps a Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Part II!
