It has almost been a year since Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn announced that they will be coming together for a film with director Luv Ranjan. Ever since, not much has been spoken about it, apart from the string of actresses who had initially been rumoured to be a part of the project. While Deepika Padukone's name seemed to be at the top, the actress' statement about not working with those accused of MeToo set the record straight. Ranbir Kapoor to Collaborate With Kabir Singh Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga For a Crime Drama?

Recent reports suggest that actor Ajay Devgn too has now decided to walk out of the project. While the exact reason for his exit is yet unknown, it looks like things didn't work out as smoothly between Ranjan, Kapoor and Devgn. What's even more shocking though is that after Devgn's exit, it seems the film itself may be shelved. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the film may not happen anymore and in fact, Ranjan may work on another project soon.

If the reports are to go by, this is another big film after Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah to get shelved. Constant delays did suggest that something was not right but it looks like after Devgn's exit, not much could be done. Luv Ranjan's Film With Ranbir Kapoor And Ajay Devgn Gets Delayed Again After Deepika Padukone Walks Out.

Ajay recently signed Neeraj Pandey's, socio-political drama, where he will play the character of a modern-day Chanakya. Reports suggested that Devgn picked this film over Ranjan's film and walked out citing due to date issues. Apart from this, Ajay has a hectic schedule already with Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Dudhaiya’s Bhuj: The Pride Of India and Om Raut’s Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. As for Ranbir, he will be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra next, which is slated for a Summer 2020 release and also Shamshera which is slated for a July 2020 release.
