Ramayana: Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar Roped in To Helm the Three-Part Multilingual Period Drama
Bollywood film fans are in for a major treat. A team of five amazing filmmakers have joined hands to make a big budget three-part film series on the 'Ramayana'. Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar will be helming this project.
Big budget period dramas are always fan-favourite. In the past, the Bollywood and south film industry churned out cinemas on the subject and did pretty much well at the box office front too. There are many lined up in the future as well. Amid this, a new announcement on the epic, Ramayana is here. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on the micro-blogging site saying, "BIGGG NEWS... Producers Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra [Prime Focus] to make #Ramayana for the big screen... Nitesh Tiwari [#Dangal] and Ravi Udyawar [#Mom] will direct the three-part series... Will be shot in 3D and released in #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu."

Nitesh Tiwari is known for his amazing direction for Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. He also recently directed Sushant Singh Rajput-Shraddha Kapoor directed Chhichhore. Roping him along with the director of Sridevi starrer Mom, is like the best combo one can get. Naturally, as the film is being rolled out in three series, the stakes are high. So, it will be interesting to see who are the actors that will be roped in for this much-awaited movie. Aamir Khan's name was running in the forefront for the film on Mahabharata.
