Ram Gopal Varma and Controversies go hand in hand. This time it is his documentary 'God, Sex and Truth' starring American porn star Mia Malkova. The film was criticised by the women's rights groups for allegedly objectifying woman in this docu- drama. Post this, RGV was summoned by the Hyderabad Police and was interrogated for around three hours. As making a pornographic film in India is illegal, Ram Gopal Varma might face serious trouble. However, the director claimed that the movie was not shot in India at all! According to a regional newspaper, an activist claims that the film was shot in India itself and she has enough proofs to prove the point.
The activist claimed that Mia had flown down to Hyderabad for the movie's shoot and that she has the pictures of the same. She even went on further saying that some of the Tollywood actors and filmmaker's friends were seen posing in the behind-the- scenes pictures of the movie.
Meanwhile, the Sarkar director took Twitter to clarify his side. He posted a note that reads, "People blaming me for saying derogatory thi
ngs, called me PERVERT,PSYCHO, TERRORIST and I should be SHOT. Anyways my lawyers are initiating the necessary action for law to take its own course and I am further not going to speak on matters under investigation and subjudice (sic)."
Additional DCP K Raghuvir, earlier was quoted by Indian Express, "We have seized his phone and laptop to ascertain his link with the film. If our investigation requires it, he may be arrested…. He said that photos of him with Mia Malkova are not this film, and that they (photographs) were taken when he had gone to meet her while she was shooting for another film."
The further process will tell us whether the filmmaker is a prey to a fresh controversy or not! For further updates, stay tuned to latestly.com.
