And now that Tanushree has slapped her with a Rs 10 crore defamation case, Rakhi has now stooped to a new low saying how Tanushree Dutta is actually a man. Her videos are all out there on social media and I don't really wish to dig deeper into that shit, but we as responsible journalists need to totally ban her. She is trivialising the entire #MeToo Movement which has given voice to SO many survivors to share their stories. So when Rakhi Sawant calls Tanushree Dutta's claims false, she is also calling out the other brave women who have chosen to speak up.
At the press conference she held yesterday, Rakhi said that Tanushree has been paid to "promote" the #MeToo Movement. If that's the case, what about all the other victims who have spoken up against other predators in the industry? She has the audacity to SUPPORT men like Alok Nath and Anu Malik, who have been named as proven offenders and the industry has known about their dirty and perverted ways since ages!
She also went on record to say how Tanushree Dutta is a lesbian and raped her around 12 years back. We wonder what Tanushree has to say to that.
Rakhi shared a video yesterday where she is seen wearing a steel lock around her vagina and that's how she says women will have to learn to protect themselves from harassers. All that I have to say is, Rakhi, you need to wear that lock around your mouth and shut the f*** up!
It is such a shame for her as a woman to deny these claims against Anu Malik, Alok Nath and Nana Patekar and make this a publicity stunt for herself. Also, not to forget how she had been forcefully kissed by Mika Singh at a party year ago. She created an uproar for that. Considering that she too has dealt with sexual misbehaviour, Rakhi should have ideally supported the #MeToo Movement. But that's too much to expect from her. This isn't the first time when she has opened her mouth and talked foolishly. It is us, who need to stop giving importance to these attention-seeking tactics and publicity gimmicks if we plan on taking the #MeToo Movement and the ordeal of victims seriously.
