Phir Hera Pheri actor Rajpal Yadav and his wife Radha Yadav have been convicted in a Rs 5 crore loan recovery case. A Karkardooma court has decided to release the verdict on April 23, calling him guilty in charge as he has failed to repay the loan. For those who don't know, it was in 2010 when Yadav and his wife Radha had taken a loan from a Delhi-based entrepreneur, MG Agarwal (owner of Murli Projects) for his Hindi debut directional film Ata Pata Laapata. Agarwal then filed a case against Yadav and his wife in the High Court as they failed to repay the amount. It was in 2013 when Rajpal Yadav was taken into judicial custody for 10 days for concealing facts about the case, reports a leading web portal. Reports also claim that the judge had also issued a contempt of court notice against two women lawyers who were representing Rajpal Yadav and Radha and an oath commissioner who had forged signatures of the couple on affidavit produced in the court.

Yadav, in 2015, had claimed in court that he had already paid Rs 1.58 crore to Agarwal and had to payback Rs 3.42 crore. The Bollywood actor had also informed the court that he had got a fresh offer from a company which agreed to take up the liablity of his loan. He was likely to repay the loan in 30 days.

His films include Howrah Bridge Pe Latakti Hui laash, Hungama, Waqt: The Race Against time, Chup Chup Ke, Garam Masala, Phir Hera Pheri and Dhol. Yadav bhai has also been the leading character in more serious films like Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon, Ladies Tailor, Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama, Hello! Hum Lallan Bol Rahe Hain, Kushti, Mirch and Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh. He made his Telugu language debut in 2015 with Kick 2, and also played the main antagonist in controversial filmmaker Faisal Saif's multilingual film Amma.
