Netflix has released the first trailer of their latest acquirement, Rajma Chawal. The movie stars Rishi Kapoor, Amyra Dastur, Aniruddh Tanwar in the lead roles and, honestly, the dramedy looks a little weird. You see, in Rajma Chawal Rishi and Anirudh play father-son who share a soured relationship. To get closer to his son, Rishi sets up a fake profile on Facebook and poses to be a girl. The young man gets catfished very easily and falls for the  'girl' on the internet. Weird enough? There is more. Lest his cover is blown, the father hunts down the girl he was using pictures of and asks her to meet his son.

Rajma Chawal starts streaming on November 30, in case you are interested in watching it. Honestly, I will watch it for Amyra. She is amazing in her web series The Trip. She is playing a goth chick and looking beautiful in rajma Chawal and those two are reason enough for me to give this movie a shot. Maybe, it will be funny?

Netflix is killing it at the moment. After the success of Sacred Games in India, they are not only making the season 2 of it but have also invested in another web series Bard of Blood. And once in a while, they keep acquiring movies like Rajma Chawal. Well, their previous presentations like Love Per Square Foot and Lust Stories were quite good, so you might want to put their faith in Netflix, and give Rajma Chawal a try.

Rajma Chawal has been directed by the incredibly talented Leena Yadav who has made movies like Parched, and the underrated Teen Patti and Shabd. So, that is another thing working in favour of Rajma Chawal.
