No, Rajkummar Rao's Made in China is not releasing on August 30 and there's no way it would think about clashing with Prabhas' Saaho. The movie was earlier slated to hit the screens on the actor's birthday but with Prabhas' next coming in the picture, things have slightly intensified. And now as per a report in Bollywood Hungama, the makers have decided to push it ahead till Diwali 2019. Though an official confirmation on the same is awaited, insiders suggest that it will hit the screens during this big festival.
Interestingly, it won't be a solo release for the movie as Rajkummar is set to lock horns with Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu at the box office. Khiladi Kumar's next multi-starrer Housefull 4 with Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Kriti Kharbanda and Rana Daggubati is slated to hit the screens on Diwali day with Bhumi and Taapsee's Saand ki Aankh. The date was already selected by two prominent and Rajkummar's addition has only made it interesting. CONFIRMED! Rana Daggubati Replaces Nana Patekar in Housefull 4 After The #MeToo Impact.
As per a source close to the project, "A meeting took place sometime back between the team of Maddock Films and its other partners Jio Studios and AAA Films. They realized that Diwali is an ideal time to bring this film. The mood at that time is upbeat and Made in China will just be the right film that viewers would want to see."
It's not the first time when Made in China has been pushed to a later date. The project was earlier announced as Independence Day 2019 release post which it was shifted to August 30 and now Diwali 2019.
