Mikhil Musale directed Made in China brings the fresh pairing of Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy on the big screen. The film is a comedy-drama revolving around an aspiring Gujarati businessman played by Rao who heads China for seeking insights on business abroad. Mouni Roy plays his love interest. The film also stars Boman Irani, Amyra Dastur and Sumeet Vyas in supporting roles. With several delays as it was scheduled to release on August 15 then pushed for August 30 and has delayed once again. The new official release date is still awaited.

Roohi-Afza

After Stree, Rajkummar Rao will be seen in yet another horror comedy and this time with Dhadak fame Janhvi Kapoor in Hardik Mehta's Roohi Afza. The plot of the film in itself is quirky as it would revolve around the spirit of a man who abducts brides on their honeymoons. The film stars Varun Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aamna Sharif and Ronit Roy in supporting roles. It would also star Shraddha Kapoor playing a cameo. Roohi Afza is slated for a March 20, 2020 release date.

Turram Khan

Turram Khan will be Hansal Mehta's fourth film with Rajkummar Rao as a director. The film is a slice of life comedy bankrolled by Ajay Devgn and Luv Ranjan. It stars Dream Girl actress Nushrat Bharucha as the female lead. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub plays a supporting role. Turram Khan is set in the back-drop of a small town in Uttar Pradesh. In 2019, Hansal Mehta, Rajkummar Rao, along with Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub were spotted filming a kabaddi scene in Mumbai's Film City. The plot and the release date of the film is unknown.

Anurag Basu's Untitled Film

On January 17, 2019, Rajkummar Rao shared a still from Anurag Basu's untitled film featuring Fatima Sana Shaikh along with the Trapped actor. The film is touted to be a black comedy and stars an ensemble cast with the likes of Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra and Pankaj Tripathi. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and was all set for a September 6 release. However, its release got postponed and a confirmed release date is awaited. Also, the title of the film is not yet decided.

Stree 2

Rajkummar Rao's Stree was a huge box-office success and the sequel to this super-hit horror-comedy is on its way. Spilling the beans on Stree 2 Rajkummar Rao had earlier revealed that the scripting of Stree 2 is underway as a part of producer Dinesh Vijan's vision of a horror-comedy universe. He said "People are waiting for the 'Stree' sequel. We are very excited about the new genre that we have tasted and now 'Roohi Afza, and many more such films in the horror-comedy universe. I am excited because I'm going to be a major part of that universe," The deets of the film will be revealed by the makers after the script is ready to roll.

Karan Johar's Untitled Film

In an interview with IANS, Rajkummar Rao hinted a collaboration with Karan Johar. Asked if whether we could see him in a Karan Johar film sooner or later Rao responded "I have never gone for signing a two or three-film deals with production houses. We share a script, we like it, we end up doing it, that's how it works. But I would love to work with him. We've been talking to each other for a while now. It should happen late next year," So it might happen! Rajkummar Rao in Kjo's film and we couldn't wait for this to happen
