Rajkumar Barjatya, who produced Hum Chaar, which released last week, has passed away in Mumbai this morning. Trade analyst Taran Aadarsh took to Twitter to confirm the news where he wrote: "Shocked and saddened to learn of Rajkumar Barjatya ji’s demise... Raj Babu - as he was affectionately called - was an extremely soft-spoken person... Heartfelt condolences to Sooraj, the Barjatya family and #Rajshri parivaar." He was admitted to Reliance Hurkissondas Hospital two days back due to some illness, say sources. The reason of passing away is yet to be kown. Rajkumar has produced several movies like Piya Ka Ghar (1972), Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Hum Pyaar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe (2002), Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), Uuf Kya Jadoo Mohabbat Hai (2004), Vivah (2006), Isi Life Mein (2010) etc. His 2019 release includes Hum Chaar, directed by Abhishek Dixit.

He is the father of Sooraj Barjatya, who has directed all Rajshri films including Maine Pyaar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hai Koun!
