Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar's 2.0: This BTS Making Video Teases Some Amazing Action Scenes
Sometime back, a unfinished teaser had been leaked creating quite a buzz on social networking sites.
We still don't know when the first trailer of the much much anticipated 2.0 will be out, forget its release date. The movie has been going through extensive post-production processes. There had been also reports that the company that was hired to do the VFX had shut down as it went bankrupt. This caused major delay in the completion of the movie, as the makers struggled to find a new company to finish the work. After they are aiming to be making India's biggest movie till date.
The movie stars Rajinikanth in dual roles of a meek scientist Vaseegaran and his android Chitti, with Akshay Kumar playing the main antagonist. Sometime back, an unfinished teaser had been leaked creating quite a buzz on social networking sites. While it was taken down soon, people who have seen the promo say, despite the presence of green sequences, the action scenes are just top-notch, aiming to be on par with Hollywood.
Now perhaps to compensate for the disappointment of those who have not seen the leaked teaser, the makers have released this special BTS making video of 2.0 where director Shankar, Akshay Kumar, cinematographer Nirav Shah, and the VFX team talk about the making of the film. They go into detail on how they used CGI and animations in creating characters, stunts and even different worlds for the movie, while also using the concept of virtual camera for the first time in Indian cinema. In the process, they also teased some exciting sequences in the movie, even though they are just in the blueprint form. Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson, who plays the female lead, are not available to share their thoughts on the making, though.
