Businessman Raj Kundra has strongly denied recent allegations linking him to a Bangladeshi adult film actor who was arrested in India for illegal residency. Kundra, the husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, has clarified that he has no connection to porn star Riya Barde, who was apprehended in Ulhsnagar in Maharashtra, on September 26 for illegally staying in India and obtaining an Indian passport using forged documents. Kundra’s statement comes in response to rumours that the arrested actor was affiliated with one of his production companies. He has categorically dismissed these claims. Raj Kundra Over 'False' Claims Involving Riya Barde
Reacting to these allegations, Raj Kundra said in a statement, “I am deeply disturbed by recent news articles circulating false allegations about me. These reports claim that an individual, allegedly an illegal immigrant, worked for me or was associated with one of my supposed production companies. Let me be very clear – I have never met this person, nor have I ever owned or been involved with any production company that this individual has worked for."
He further added, "These baseless claims are not only damaging to my reputation but are also an attempt to exploit my name for sensationalism and media traction. I have always conducted my business with the utmost integrity, and I will not tolerate such false accusations." Reportedly, Kundra also expressed deep concern over the "false" allegations against him, stating that he plans to take legal action against those spreading them. He is also preparing an INR 100 crore defamation suit against media outlets for carrying the "fake news."
How Riya Barde Was Arrested?
Riya Barde, an adult film actor, was arrested by Mumbai Police after a tip-off revealed her Bangladeshi nationality. A friend reported her illegal presence in India. Riya’s parents reside in Qatar, and police are searching for her siblings. She faces charges of cheating, forgery and violating the Foreigners Act.
