After enjoying a fantastic opening weekend, Race 3 is now looking at a downslide at the box office. The movie had got a great start thanks to Salman Khan's tremendous box office power and with the Eid advantage. Within the opening weekend, Race 3 had managed to gross over Rs 100 crore, making it the fastest movie to do so in 2018. However, from Monday onwards, the movie has been seeing a steep decline in the collections, once people realised that Race 3 is really a bad movie. Moreover, it is the worst Salman Khan movie to hit the screens after 2012's Jai Ho.
As per the last update, Race 3 has collected Rs 142 crore at the box office. However, there are speculations that the producers have been giving out inflated figures to the trade. As per trade analyst Sumit Kadel, the movie has only collected Rs 130 crore, and the producers have given shown Rs 12 crore additional to what the real collections were. This might be a ploy to show that the movie would reach Rs 200 crore soon.
#Race3 Makers inflated ₹ 12 cr nett in 6 days. 2 cr average per day. Jai ho. Total collection- 130 cr nett & as par producers ₹ 142 cr nett.

Also in an interview to Times Now, Kadel revealed that several morning shows of Race 3 have been cancelled over lower occupancy. He had said, "The early morning shows of Race 3 have got cancelled in some circuits today. The shows which did run witnessed an occupancy of 10-12 per cent across India."
The trade analyst also told the website that he expects the movie to not make more than Rs 170 crore at the box office.
It is not just Sumit Kadel's revelations that are making us doubt the collections of Race 3. Even popular trade analyst Taran Adarsh has stopped giving out the box office figures of the movie, after its first Monday. So what's the deal here?
We do wish the makers of Race 3 had put a little more thought in actually making it an enjoyable movie, instead of just showing it as a money-spinner. Which, btw, the movie has made even before its release thanks to the huge rate at which the satellite rights have been bought!
