With last year's Tubelight, Salman Khan must have caught a new Eid jinx - movies he releases in this period suck! Just like this year's Bhai release, Race 3. This awkwardly directed, badly enacted action thriller is not just the nadir of the Race franchise (Saif Ali Khan must be laughing his guts for sitting out of this), but also Salman Khan's career in the past decade (not counting his cameo in Welcome to New York). Race 3 is ridiculous!

It's not that the Remo D'Souza' directorial is without its good points. The production values, including cinematography, production design and action choreography, are top notch. Anil Kapoor, as always, never disappoints; in fact he is the sole saving grace in the histrionics department. Rest everything else disappoints. Race 3 is filled with many ludicrous scenes and twists that it is hard to mention all of them in this feature. So we have carefully selected 10 of the choicest ones that make Race 3 a fun watch if you are down by five pegs. Needless to say, SPOILERS ahead!

The awkward voiceover intro

After Anil Kapoor's blazing intro scene, the movie suddenly feels the need to have a voiceover to introduce all the main characters in the movie (except Jacqueline's) in an awkward manner. The intro hardly mattered as the characters get to have another action intro shortly, while the backstory is also explained through a flashback later.

Flying Human

You have seen the scene of Salman Khan and Jacqueline taking the aerial route by wingsuit diving. Salman has another go at the stunt at the start of the movie, where he saves his siblings from a pack of baddies. But the way he traverses through the skyline and reaches the location, it feels like the makers think wingsuit diving is like actual flying. Ah, well, as long as Bhai is off the road, we can heave a sigh of relief!

Salman's fake beard and accent

When Sikander (Salman Khan) discloses his romantic flashback in Beijing, Salman is seen in a goatee so fake and it looks very ridiculous on him. Moreover, for some reason, he keeps using a French accent as if to mock Jacqueline's original one. Not just then, the characters keep slipping into Bhojpuri in between every now and then, without any prompting.

I Found Love

After that romantic encounter with Jacqueline, we have the Bhai and Vatur sung track I Found Love. The choreography is so bad that it looks like whoever directed this song didn't have the guts to tell Salman what to do. At least the locales look good, the song not much.

Dil Nahi Dell Kholke Dikha

Race 3's dialogues are plain awful. If you thought Daisy Shah's 'Our business is our business...' is bad, then you should hear this other line of hers!

The heist and the chase

The much talked about heist, involving a hard disk that has sleazy secrets to blackmail top politicians (don't ask), gets over in that Heeriye song with absolutely no strain. Then, Sikander gets detained by the Cambodian military for a ludicrous reason and what follows looks to be Salman Khan's tribute to Tiger Shroff's climax scene in Baaghi 2, conclded with an endless chase scene.

The Bobby Deol and Jacqueline twists

There are so many twists involving their characters and allegiances, all of them being ridiculous. Bobby Deol goes from a friend to a love rival to the sister's lover to an illegitimate son, while we are still figuring out if Jacqueline was a con-woman or an Interpol officer in the movie.

The Cat-fight

The cat-fight between Jacqueline and Daisy is randomly inserted in the movie. Equally ridiculous is how Bobby Deol ends the fight! You have to see it to believe it.

Salman and Bobby's shirtless fight

The climax has a couple of surprising revelations, but the action sequence that follows is again stretched and uninspiring. Then Salman and Bobby get into a shirtless brawl that is as predictable as playing tennis with your five year old. And the outcome of the fight is so silly that you wonder why the writer has a grudge against you.

The sequel bait

Salman Khan and the gang even have a meta moment aka Deadpool where they wink at the audiences about a sequel to come! And we can only internally scream 'No'!
