Alia  Bhatt's Raazi is getting rave response from all the ends. The Highway girl proves again and again of what she is capable of through her gritty roles. After an extremely interesting trailer, here come a new poster. Unlike other posters, this poster has all the prime characters from the film. The characters from the movie are all as important as 'Sehmat', the Kashmiri spy played by Bhatt. Alia plays a perfect daughter, a citizen and a spy. This poster sums up her responsibilities towards her father, husband and nation.

Raazi is based on the book 'Calling Sehmat' written by Harinder Sikka. The real life story revolves around a Kashmir girl who marries a Pakistani army officer to pass on the information to Indian Army and help the country.

In the making of Sehmat's character, we saw how Alia has taken extra efforts to nail the character of a spy. This is the first time that we will see he in a period film. From learning the instruments of that era to learning how to drive a heavy jeep, she has gone beyond to make herself look real in the shoes of Sehmat.

Talkig about casting Alia in the lead, director Meghna Gulzar told a leading tabloid, "Even before Bhavani Iyer (who wrote the screenplay with Meghna) and I had put a word on paper, I knew that a performance was needed to take Sehmat’s journey forward on screen. Also, the way I see her, she doesn’t suddenly turn into this indestructible superhero on a mission. There’s a vulnerability inherent in her character which she retains till the end and I’ve noticed that no matter how hard-hitting the characters she plays, there is a certain softness to Alia, physically and emotionally, that I was looking for."
