Alia Bhatt-Vicky Kaushal starrer spy thriller has spread its tentacles over the hearts of the movie goers. After a long, long time, fans got to see a crisp thriller with no overdose of supposed patriotism and they are loving every bit of it. The Meghna Gulzar directed film is based on the book ‘Calling Sehmat’ written by Harinder Sikka. The first weekend saw an increasing graph in the collection at box office. This critically acclaimed film collected Rs 14.11 crore on day 3 (Sunday) taking up the total to Rs 32.94 crore.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Raazi has a FANTASTIC opening weekend... Alia’s star power + power-packed performances + strong content + solid word of mouth helped multiply numbers... Fri 7.53 cr, Sat 11.30 cr, Sun 14.11 cr. Total: ₹ 32.94 cr. India biz.” With this kind of collection, it is once again established that content is the heart of the any movie and the audience is more then happy to watch such films.

When Alia Bhatt was asked about the overwhelming response to her character ‘Sehmat’ and the film, she was quoted saying, “I didn’t expect this kind of response. Since the beginning, we thought that we were making a small film, so we didn’t feel we would get so much attention and love from the audience.” All we can say that the appreciation is well-deserved!
