A wild opinion piece published by The Cut led to a world of good Samaritans stand up for Priyanka Chopra. The article alleged, at the cost of repetition, that the actress is a 'global scam artist' for getting Nick Jonas to marry her. So far we have seen Arjun Kapoor, Sonam K Ahuja, Swara Bhasker, and Priyanka's in-laws Sophie Turned and Joe Jonas reacting to the vile piece. Now, the news has reached the Baywatch actress. And, the response has come. Needless to say, it is the exact level of class we expect from our Desi Girl.

Talking to Hindustan Times, Priyanka said, "I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. These kind of random things can’t disturb it.”

And that is how we say Thank you, next in India.

Priyanka's brother-in-law Joe Jonas was infuriated by the article and defended the newest member of his family by tweeting, "This is disgusting. @TheCut should be ashamed to have someone write such evil words. What Nick & Pri have is Beautiful Love."

Joe's wife-to-be Sophie Turner also gave her two cents to the controversy and wrote on Twitter, "This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bullshit."

The publication responding to the backlash has pulled down the article and has even issued an apology. "Last night, the Cut published a post about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s relationship that shouldn’t have gone up. We’ve received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger. We want you to know that we hear you and we’re sorry. The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologize to our readers and to Priyanka and Nick," a note published by the website reads.

We were here for the drama when Nick and PC got married. We got more than we bargained for. And it is time for us all to put those silly words behind us and move on. May our favourite 'global scam artist' steal every heart in the world with her beauty and talent. Peace out.
