Priyanka Chopra's next production, a film called 'Nalini' is right now facing a hurdle. The makers wanted a permission to shoot for the film at Visva Bharati University but they did not get it. The film is based on the teen love story between the legendary writer Rabindranath Tagore and his relationship with Marathi girl Annapurna Turkhad in 1878-79. The officials of the university however denied giving the educational institution  for the commercial cinema purpose.

The officiating vice-chancellor, Sabuj Koli Sen, told The Telegraph."The director tried to persuade us to give permission for shooting on the campus but I told him we would not. This is an educational institution. We don't want to disrupt its environment any more by allowing the shooting of commercial films."

The director of the film, Ujwal Chatterjee, claimed that officiating vice-chancellor Swapan Kumar Datta gave him the permission to shoot in the campus in a written form. Owing to this, he stated that he will now move to Ministry of Human Resource Development to look into this matter. "We will take up the issue with the Centre and produce all previous correspondences with former officiating VC Swapan Kumar Datta, including the last letter on January 6," he added.
