Sanjay Leela Bhansali surprised the fans with the two back to back announcements of his ambitious projects. The director is ready with two big projects for the year 2020 and 2021. While Alia Bhatt will be next seen in a film on Gangubai Kathiawadi, he also announced the film on Baiju Bawra which will release two years later. There are speculations that Ranveer Singh will again be a part of this Bhansali project. Now, as per the latest report, Priyanka Chopra might lead in the top contenders of the actresses. A report in Bollywood Hungama, hinted that Ranveer has been approached for the part. If he does actually take up this film, it will be another rigorous process for him while prepping up for this intense, musician role. The source close to the development, also revealed that Deepika or Priyanka might just be right stars to romance him on-screen.

The source revealed to the portal, "If Ranveer gives his nod to the movie, it will be again another challenging role for him as he will need some training and knowledge as a singer and musician. It will be interesting to see who plays his romantic interest – will it be Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra? Priyanka holds an edge as she’s an internationally acclaimed singer in her own right."

Priyanka and Ranveer have already worked in Gunday and Bajirao Mastani before. They also did a song together for Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Rasleela-Ram Leela ("Ram Chahe Leela" song). Currently, the global icon is busy with multiple projects including some of them to be streamed on Netflix as well. So, even though she is busy with the projects this year and the next, the Baiju Bawra project is only going on the floors somewhere next year. So, it has to be seen whether she will be a part of this film or not.
