The Anti-CAA Protests going on in Delhi have taken the nation by storm. Throngs of students of the Jamia Milia University in the capital took to the streets starting Sunday to protest against that 'Citizenship Amendment Act that was recently passed. The bill 'seeks to provide Indian citizenship to persecuted religious minorities coming from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan but not if they happen to be Muslims.' Delhi and Assam have been under the grip of violent Anti - CAA protests ever since the bill was announced by BJP President Amit Shah. Along with netizens who have condemned the acts of the police, actors like Ayushmann Khurana, Rajkummar Rao, Konkana Sen Sharma, Sonakshi Sinha, Jim Sarbh, Swara Bhaskar, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Alia Bhatt, Dia Mirza among others have expressed solidarity towards the Jamia Milia protests. In fact, in a sorry state of affairs, actor Sushant Singh, who is also the president of CINTAA (Cine & Television Artists Association), who attended the protests at Mumbai's Kalina University and stood by students, was fired from his Star Bharath show Savdhaan India, which he was hosting.
