Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas will be tying the knot at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur in December and here’s their itinerary. On November 29, will be the mehendi and sangeet, a cocktail party on November 30 and a haldi ceremony on December 1. Priyanka and Nick will first have a Christian wedding followed by the Indian one on December 2. Also, reports have come in stating that the couple’s Delhi reception will happen on December 4. The Dulha’s Grand Entry:
Nick will be arriving to marry the love of his life in a horse-drawn silver carriage ala royal style, followed by his baarat, for which Abu Jaani and Sandeep Khosla will be designing clothes.
The Dulhan’s Special Mehendi:
Priyanka Chopra’s Mehendi has been brought in from a city in Rajasthan called Sojat, which is the country’s primary Henna manufacturing place.
Priyanka-Nick’s ‘EXCLUSIVE’ Million-Dollor Deal:
The pair has reportedly struck a $2.5 million deal with an international magazine for their exclusive photos.
Rules For Staff And Guests:
The entire staff of the palace has been replaced by employees of the event management company overseeing the wedding. Also, the staff and the guests, have been barred from carrying their smartphones to prevent any leak of pictures happening. However, the staff will be given normal cellphones for operational purposes.
Private Security Detail
Three teams of security are in place at the palace—one team from India and two from the US, that the couple has hired. They will be replacing the Palace Security detail including the Royal Family’s Guards.
Additional Measures:
Cell phone jammers have been installed at the venues to block various signals again, to keep details under the wraps.
Wedding Return Gifts:
The couple will be giving out a silver coin with their initials NP on one side and Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on the other.
Guest Privileges:
Guests will be served seven types of cuisines (Rajasthani, Punjabi, Hyderabadi, Continental, Italian, Mexican and Chinese) in silver-plated dinnerware and cutlery. Also, the guests will be treated to authentic Rajasthani culture and commodities with stalls of jewellery, artefacts, jootis, dresses, dupattas etc (Rajasthan Specials) being set up in the vicinity.
