After a gap of two years where she was busy impressing the Hollywood viewers, Priyanka Chopra is finally returning to Bollywood. She is playing the female lead in Salman Khan's Bharat, that is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Now Priyanka Chopra has also her second Bollywood film after the hiatus greenlighted her second film.

Titled (tentatively, we think) The Sky is Pink, the movie also stars Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. The movie is directed by Shonali Bose.  It is a reunion for Priyanka and Farhan after being paired up in the 2015 film Dil Dhadakne Do. Farhan's role was earlier supposed to be done by Abhishek Bachchan, who walked out of the film for unspecified reasons. Farhan had confirmed the development when he posted the first page of the script with the caption, "Farhan shared a picture of the script on his Instagram account with a caption which read as "It all starts here. Thank you #ShonaliBose for trusting me with this beautiful story.  #fromtheheart".

The Sky is Pink is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who had an immune deficiency disorder, but went on to become a young motivational speaker before her sad demise at the age of 19. Zaira will be playing Aisha, while Priyanka will be playing her mother. Interestingly, both Zaira and Priyanka have won National awards for their performances in Secret Superstar and Fashion respectively.

It is also speculated that Priyanka is getting a profit-share fee on the film. A source close to project told Mid-Day, "Shonali Bose's film banks on Priyanka and Zaira Wasim, who plays her daughter in the movie. Priyanka understood that if she needed to make this venture feasible, she couldn't command her regular fee. In such a scenario, she thought it would be better to take a share of the film's spoils after it has done well."

The shooting for the film begins from August this year. Juhi Chaturvedi has penned the dialogues of the movie, while The Sky is Pink is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala.
