Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveys his condolences to Ajay Devgn's family after the loss of Veeru Devgan. The actor posts a thank you note for the PM.
Ajay Devgn lost his father, Veeru Devgn on the May 27 and the entire film fraternity was left shocked by the sudden demise of the famed action choreographer. While Ajay Devgn's friends and family from the industry conveyed their condolences to the family, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also paid his condolences through a personal note. Ajay Devgn received a letter from the Prime Minister which read, "I am deeply saddened to learn of the demise of Veeru Devgan who was widely respected for his outstanding work across various domains of the Hindi film industry. This is a great loss for the industry."
Touched by Prime Minister's gesture, Ajay took to Twitter to share the note and thank him for the same. He wrote, "My Mother & entire Devgan family are deeply touched & humbled in silence by this thoughtful gesture from our Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi.Thank you Sir."

Several celebrities had taken to social media to share their grief over losing the popular filmmaker. From actor Aamir Khan, who has worked with Ajay Devgn in the 1997 film Ishq to director Karan Johar everyone shared their grief via Twitter.
Veeru Devgan was a popular stunt artist in the 70s and 80s and the movies registered under his name include Khoon Bhari Maang, Mr Natwarlal, Kranti, Himmatwala, Shahenshah, Mr India, Tridev and Phool Aur Kaante.
