Kartik Aaryan is all set to impress the masses with Mudassar Aziz's Pati Patni Aur Woh which stars two pretty faces, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday opposite him. The trailer of the film was unveiled some days ago and garnered mix response from the audience and critics alike. FYI, the movie is a remake of the 1978 classic which starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur in key roles. All that being, the makers of this one were bashed left, right and centre owing to Kartik's one particular dialogue from the trailer which was about marital rape. Now going by the latest report in Bollywood Hungama, the same dialogue might get edited out before making it to the final cut. Pati Patni Aur Woh: Should Kartik Aaryan Really Be Blamed for Repeating Himself in His Hit Movies? An Opinion!

The dialogue by Kartik goes like this, “Biwi se sex maang lein, toh hum bhikaari. Biwi ko sex mana kar dein, toh hum atyachaari aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke uss se sex haasil kar lein na toh balaatkaari bhi hum hain.” (If we ask sex from our wife, we are beggars. If we do not want sex from them, we are harasser and if somehow we manage to get sex from her, then we are rapists). A source to the production team of PPAW told the portal, “Since Kartik Aaryan’s monologue in Pyaar Ka Punchnaama was a hit they thought of doing another one this time and got carried away. The offensive monologue will be edited out of the film.” Well, we wonder if this news is true or its just a new publicity gimmick by the makers? Kartik Aaryan's Pati Patni Aur Woh Trailer Faces Flak for Making a Joke About Marital Rape (Read Tweets).

Earlier, actress Bhumi Pednekar had tagged Pati Patni Aur Woh as a film based on gender empowerment. "When I read the script, all the doubts that I had simply vanished. This is not frivolous... The story is very empowering to both genders. I think that the makers made sure that this does not turn into a sexist, baseless film. I do not think anyone who is part of this film, including us actors, belong to that school. We were extremely conscious of the fact that we do not end up making it into a sexist comment... This is a subject that could have gone wrong easily. But they (the makers) have been sensitive and careful. I have to say it is a big achievement," reported IANS. The film is set to hit the TV screen on  hit screens on December 6, 2019.
