Mudassar Aziz's rom-com Pati Patni Aur Woh is out in the theatres today and the Kartik Aaryan starrer was very much in the headlines for its controversial monologue from its trailer. We have seen Kartik Aaryan using the word 'Balatkar' as an insensitive joke on marital rape that stirred controversy. Earlier, Reports suggested that the production house will beep the use of 'Balatkar' in Kartik Aaryan dialogue but it's not the case. After watching the movie, we confirm that 'Balatkar' is clearly exempted from the Kartik Aaryan's monologue and the dialogue was actually tweaked a bit. The original dialogue was as follows "Biwi se sex maang lein, toh hum bhikaari. Biwi ko sex mana kar dein, toh hum atyachaari aur kisi tarah jugaad laga ke uss se sex haasil kar lein na toh balaatkaari bhi hum hain." However, the changed lines of the controversial dialogue were '' kisi tarah request kar k sex haasil kar lein toh bad sanskaari bhi hum hai'. A much-needed change of such an insensitive dialogue that makes a mockery of marital rape. Earlier Bhumi Pendekar said "It's not a sexist film," and now excluding this harsh word from the dialogue with an alternative seems a good choice rather than beeping it. Speaking about the film Bhumi further said "I think that the makers made sure that this does not turn into a sexist, baseless film. I do not think anyone who is part of this film, including us actors, belong to that school" Pati Patni Aur Woh Opens With 25-30% Occupancy In The Morning Shows.
Pati Patni Aur Woh is a remake of the 1978 film of the same name and same theme of adultery with Kartik Aaryan as the 'pati', Bhumi Pednekar playing the 'patni' and Ananya Panday featuring as the 'woh'. Helmed by Happy Bhaag Jayegi fame Mudassar Aziz, Pati Patni Aur Woh has received mixed reviews from the critics.
