The comedy drama Pati Patni Aur Woh starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead is a remake of the 1978 movie of the same name. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, this film also featured Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar as the leading ladies. This comic remake, which released on December 6, has turned to be Kartik’s highest first-day opener. Yes, Pati Patni Aur Woh has minted Rs 9.10 crore at the box office on day one of its release and it managed to become the highest opening film of the 29-year-old actor. Kartik Aaryan made his Bollywood debut with Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama that released in 2011. The rom-com managed to collect Rs 92 lakhs only on the opening day. This year Kartik had one more release, which was Luka Chuppi and that earned Rs 8.01 crore at the box office. But Pati Patni Aur Woh managed to break the records of his previous films. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#PatiPatniAurWoh is excellent on Day 1... This, despite competing with another biggie [#Panipat], which resulted in screens/shows getting divided...
