The makers of Pathaan are dropping the first official trailer of the film on January 10, and the hype for the film on social media has gone overdrive after the announcement. Till now, we have had one teaser and two songs as video PR from the Siddharth Anand spy thriller, that stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead. The buzz is already high for the film, scheduled to release on January 25, coupled by the 'outrage' created by the RW elements protesting against the film over the "Besharam Rang" song. Jim Ke Karnaame
As Jim, the movie's antagonist, the makers are underplaying John Abraham's presence save for the posters and the teaser, and it's a good thing to do. John could be the surprise package of the film, a villain that could be the Winter Soldier to SRK's Cap (but not ending in a friendly manner). The trailer could give us more of Jim and his villainous antics, to understand why Pathaan needs to come back in the game to take him down. This might also make us understand the plot better. Better VFX
This also goes without saying that the trailer absolutely needs to sell us on the action scenes. The teaser did share us glimpses of Pathaan's big action setpieces, but there have been some legit complaints of obvious green screen presence. Hope that is all polished out when the trailer comes out. It is hardly a secret that Salman Khan is having a cameo in the film, reprising his role of Tiger from the Ek Tha Tiger movies. Rumours are already abuzz that the trailer might offer a glimpse of Salman Khan, mostly a back profile but that's enough to raise excitement levels for fans of both the superstars. Now we are not expecting that the trailer also drop in the rumoured cameo of Hrithik Roshan, but I do wish that Pathaan trailer throw in hints and clues as to how this film connects to its bigger cinematic universe. Just little hints or Easter Eggs, that's it!
