After the disastrous Rangoon, director Vishal Bharadwaj promises to mend fences with his ardent admirers with Pataakha. Based on a short story, Pataakha avoids big stars in its cast that has been a bane of Vishal Bharadwaj films. Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan play the leads, while Vijay Raaz and Sunil Grover have important roles in the film. Our movie reviewer is currently watching Pataakha right now and here's what he has to say about the first half-
"Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan play squabbling sisters in a hamlet in Rajasthan. Their fights are a cause of frustration for their father, played by Vijay Raaz, though they act as a source of entertainment for the village Narad Muni (Sunil Grover). A rich man in their village is lusting after them, but the girls have their own love lives. Pataakha Song Balma Out: Radhika Madan and Sanya Malhotra’s Sibling Rivalry Captured in All Its Fierce Glory – Watch Video.
The first half of the film goes exactly like the trailer. It is humorous, taking laughs out of the sisters' rivalry and Sunil Grover's presence. We witness some exemplary performances from the lead cast.
We have to see what new surprises the film has in store for us in the second half. The trailer has hidden these portions like that ace in the sleeve."
