John Abraham's upcoming release, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, is about how India managed to conduct the 1998 Pokhran nuclear tests under a shroud of secrecy. John is not just playing the lead role; he is also co-producing the movie that is directed by Abhishek Sharma of Tere Bin Laden and The Shaukeens fame. Diana Penty and Boman Irani also have important roles in the movie.

The makers of Parmanu have released a new track from the movie, Thare Vaste, that is steeped in national duty and patriotism. It has John Abraham's military officer introduce his team as characters from Mahabharata. Diana Penty is strangely Nakul of the team that has been styled as the Pandavas, while John anoints himself as Krishna, who guides the team as the Lord did with Pandavas in Mahabharata.

Thare Vaste is composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics written by Vayu, and is sung with gusto by Divya Kumar. Divya Kumar is quite on a roll with a couple of his recent tracks like Chumme Mein Chavanprash (Bhavesh Joshi Superhero) and the controversial Laaj Sharam (Veere Di Wedding) ruling the music charts.

Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran has been in the news recently when John Abraham's production company and co-producers, KriArj Entertainment were in a legal tussle over non-payment of dues. Thankfully, both the parties amicably settled their issues to ensure the smooth release of the film. Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran will release on May 25.
